Welcome to St. Clair County Genealogy & History Society
Welcome to St. Clair County Genealogy & History Society. We're glad you're here! The St. Clair County Genealogy & History Society is dedicated to keeping our county's rich history alive - from the shores of Lake Huron to the banks of the St. Clair River. Through stories, photographs, and artifacts we celebrate the people, places and events that shaped our communities. Along with preserving local history, we love helping residents explore their own. Our volunteers and resources are available to assist with personal genealogy projects - from tracing family roots to uncovering stories from generations past. Longtime residents, newcomers, and history enthusiasts alike will find plenty to discover and enjoy. Attend a program, join us for a walking tour, or lend a hand as a volunteer. And, if you'd like to play an even bigger part in preserving our shared heritage, consider becoming a member. Your support helps keep St. Clair County's history alive for generations to come. Together, we are keeping our past alive for the future.
Partnering with Port Huron Museum...
Consider joining us as we partner with the Port Huron Museum to help inventory archival materials in their basement collections. This project will help historians, genealogists, and museum staff locate and digitize important local history records.
Volunteers will review interesting historical documents, photographs, and artifacts. The work is easy, enjoyable, and requires no standing or heavy lifting. Museum staff is available to assist.
Join us Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Port Huron Museum.
Questions or planning to attend? Contact President Vicky Armstrong at sccghspresident@gmail.com.
