WHO ARE WE?

St. Clair County Genealogy & History Society (SCCGHS) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization established in 1978 as St. Clair County Family History Group, Inc. St. Clair County is located in the lower “Thumb” of Southeast Michigan. We promote and share the rich genealogical and historical importance of our region thru meetings, workshops, field trips, seminars, social media, and the distribution of a quarterly newsletter. Members also research and document local records and history, hoping to preserve and perpetuate genealogical and historical records. To further accomplish these goals, we support the Michigan Room of the St. Clair County Library, by compiling and sharing matters of genealogical interest. Additionally, to enhance our skills and networking opportunities, we are members of the Michigan Genealogical Council and the National Genealogical Society (To access their sites, click the logos below)
