St. Clair Inn Centennial Presentation & Walking Tour
St. Clair County Genealogy and History Society and the Port Huron Museum are pleased to present this special event at the historic St. Clair Inn!
When the original Inn opened in 1926, it was born out of need and a partnership between St. Clair’s wealthiest residents and the local Rotary Club. It became a destination for the city’s residents and for vacationers hosting celebrities, secret parties at the height of Prohibition, and once, 12 weddings in a single weekend! Fully renovated in 2019, the St. Clair Inn’s 85 guest rooms and 3 private cottages, restaurants, bars, and stunning views of the St. Clair River combine the best in modern comforts with the elegance of the past.
2026 marks a very special milestone…the centennial of the St. Clair Inn! Join us for a special presentation and walking tour of the Inn led by Chrissy Gorzen to learn more about the fascinating stories from the past 100 years of this local landmark.
Following the end of the program, everyone is encouraged to enjoy a fabulous meal at The Dive – the Inn’s riverside restaurant!
Members attend FREE – Now is the perfect time to consider joining the St. Clair County Genealogy and History Society! This special event is FREE for SCCGHS members who provide their own transportation to the St. Clair Museum and also to the historic St. Clair Inn.

SCCGHS members providing their own transportation should plan to arrive at the St. Clair Museum (308 S. 4th Street, St. Clair) by 11:00 a.m. for the presentation by Chrissy Gorzen. Following the presentation, attendees may drive or enjoy a short walk to the historic St. Clair Inn for the guided walking tour.
